You can help ensure that nature’s most vulnerable lands and waters are given the care, the love and the protection that they need. You can help stop climate change.
Planting a tree is one of the most powerful ways in which you can make a difference for the environment. But we’re not asking you to plant a tree, we’re asking you to adopt one.
That’s because we need your help not just in planting the sapling, but in nurturing it to life and being responsible for its growth. Tree planting and forest restoration should be high on everyone’s agenda throughout the world.
The SRI is working to plant trees in Northern Sumatra in partnership with community groups at South Tapanuli regency, North Tapanuli regency, and Mandailing Natal regency.
The SRI’s planting and forest protection efforts can also provide development opportunities for local communities, by designating protected areas and supporting the villagers in learning about eco-friendly agroforestry of their lands.
Please make a donation to help us to save the Sumatran Rainforest and to stop climate change. Your generosity enables us to continue to plant rare and threatened trees, develop our seedling production, and make a positive contribution to forest communities.
