Wildlife Rope Bridge Successfully Used by Animals, Proving the Effectiveness of SRI and SOL Collaboration

South Tapanuli , August 2026— Good news comes from the world of wildlife conservation. The rope bridge infrastructure built under the Wildlife Corridor project has been monitored and confirmed to be actively used by wildlife. This serves as a vital indicator that the placement of the bridge is precise and functioning optimally in the field.
This community-based wildlife corridor conservation project is a strategic collaboration between Sumatra Rainforest Institute (SRI) and Sarulla Operations Limited (SOL). The initiative not only focuses on restoring fragmented habitat connectivity but also empowers local communities as the frontline in safeguarding ecosystem sustainability.
With wildlife utilizing this rope bridge, it is hoped that the natural movement of animals between forest areas can be secured once again, while simultaneously mitigating the risk of human-wildlife conflict around the conservation area. (*)
